Debbie Lavigne is the Director of Fitness, Leisure, and Wellness and Instructor in the School of Health Sciences. Debbie holds a master's degree in Exercise Science from Southern Connecticut State University and a master's degree in Integrative Health and Healing from the Graduate Institute. She is certified by the NBC-HWC (National Board Certifed Health & Wellness Coaches) as a Health and Wellness Coach, completed training as a Holistic Stress Management Instructor from Paramount Wellness Institue, and Koru Mindfulness.

Debbie is dedicated to creating educational opportunities that support all students where they are on their wellness journey. She is inspired to teach students how to create a state of well-being, ahead of prevention, through becoming self-awareness in each dimension of wellness, understanding the impact of self-empowerment on health through conscious decisions, and encouraging the development and practice of self-care skills and techniques.

Debbie lives in Connecticut with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys staying active through all the seasons and exploring new adventures along the way.
