Erica A. Mumm

Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing

Dr. Erica Mumm came to Quinnipiac University in 2017 having completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Regis College, Weston, MA. As a Jonas Veterans Healthcare Scholar and having a passion for holistic nursing, Dr. Mumm knew that teaching at QU was a perfect fit as QU is ranked as a 'Top 10 Military University' and its School of Nursing had an accomplished holistic focused foundation, having obtained Holistic Endorsement. Dr. Mumm teaches in both the gradute and undergraduate programs within the School of Nursing. Her teaching focus is currently centered on Community and Poplulation-Based Health, Health Advocacy and Policy, and Global Health. She developed an innovative immersive, experiential course bringing students to the Navajo Nation to expand their perspectives around the social determinants of health within the United States. She serves as a School of Nursing Faculty Representative to the Faculty Senate, and maintains active in community-based nursing clinical. Students find her classes to be creative, full of passion, and supportive. Dr. Mumm teaches nursing content on-ground at the North Haven campus as well as in First Year Seminar on the Mt. Carmel Campus. She additionally serves as the Director of First Year Seminar, Co-Director of the Global Public Health minor, and Co-Director of The Listening Labs.
