Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems

Dr. Guido Lang is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems at Quinnipiac University, where he teaches in the Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, and MBA programs. He founded the university's App Development Lab and served as a founding board member of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Lang is a serial entrepreneur and currently the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of CheckSamples, a healthcare technology startup. He was awarded a sabbatical leave for the 2019-2020 academic year to serve as a Visiting Researcher at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris.

Dr. Lang's primary research interest is the digital transformation of post-secondary education. In this context, he aims to anticipate changes in the demand for digital skills by employers and improve the provision of digital skills through formal and non-formal education. To this end, Dr. Lang has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles which have won awards from the Education Special Interest Group of the Association for Information Technology Professionals and appeared in journals such as the Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Information Systems Education, and Journal of Research on Technology in Education.
