Professor of Management

Holly J. Raider became dean of the Quinnipiac University School of Business on July 1, 2021. She is a transformational academic leader recognized for driving institutional growth, financial strength, student success, and global academic distinction. An expert in strategy, leadership transformation, business transitions, and stakeholder engagement, Dean Raider advises organizations navigating complex, high-stakes change.

An award-winning educator and respected thought leader, Dean Raider has spearheaded educational innovation and advanced access, quality, and global impact in business education across several distinguished institutions, including the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

At Quinnipiac, Dean Raider has led the opening of a state-of-the-art School of Business facility equipped with industry-leading technology; launched executive education and forward-looking programs, including Financial Technology (FinTech) and Sport & Entertainment Management; and spearheaded the school's capital campaign. She is leading the School through both Accounting and Business AACSB accreditation processes and serves as co-chair of the AACSB Business Influencer Council. She also serves on the executive committee of the strategic partnership between Quinnipiac University and Hartford HealthCare.

Dean Raider brings more than 20 years of experience as an educator and leader of collaborative global partnerships spanning corporations, government, healthcare systems, professional sports organizations, and international universities. Prior to joining Quinnipiac, she was Clinical Professor of Management at the Kellogg School of Management, where she served as managing director of executive education from 2014–21 and associate dean of academic and faculty initiatives from 2016–18. She led the implementation of Kellogg's first fully online, non-degree programs, spearheaded faculty development, created the Advanced Management Program, and founded SPARK, an innovative teaching incubator that brought together experts from diverse fields. She also oversaw Kellogg's AACSB accreditation review and its participation in Northwestern University's 10-year program review.

Dean Raider earned her BA from Barnard College and her PhD in sociology from Columbia University. Her research focuses on career development, professional networks, and knowledge transfer, with current work centered on preparing young professionals for the workplace of the future. Her thought leadership has been featured in Harvard Business Review, including the widely read article “How to Strengthen Your Network When You're Just Starting Out.” She has been honored with a teaching award from Northwestern's Business Institutions Program and a Northwestern Wildcat Excellence Award.
