Dr. Jennifer Wethje is thrilled to be part of the nursing faculty at Quinnipiac University as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Professor Wethje comes to QU with over twenty years of clinical experience paired with a health occupation teaching certification and years of classroom teaching experience. She earned both her Nurse Practitioner (MSN - FNP) and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from Quinnipiac University. Prior to her nursing career, Professor Wethje received her Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with research centered on customer service in healthcare. Her doctoral research focused on improved access to antenatal screenings and care, as well as the correlation between state laws and healthcare outcomes.

Professor Wethje's clinical background includes emergency nursing and high risk labor and delivery nursing. As an APRN, Professor Wethje has experience in family medicine, and she specializes in women's health. She is passionate about providing current and compassionate care in practice, and fostering a safe and engaging learning experience for students. Professor Wethje teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in the School of Nursing.
