Jenny R Chou

Dist Practitioner in Residence, Professional Development

Jenny Chou is a Distinguished Practitioner in Residence for Professional Development. She works with the Law School's Career Development Office to teach skills and expand opportunities for students' and graduates' long term success. Jenny also teaches a seminar course on Food Law.

Jenny was previously a partner with the law firm of Wiggin and Dana in New Haven, where she practiced litigation and white-collar defense and investigations, and chaired the firm's summer hiring committee. Before Wiggin and Dana, Jenny was an associate at WilmerHale in Washington, D.C. and a law clerk for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Jenny is a graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard College, from which she received an A.B. in History and Literature.

Jenny serves on the Federal Grievance Committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, and on the boards of New Haven Legal Assistance Association and the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She is also a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation and an active member of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity. Jenny previously served on the board of Connecticut Foodshare.
