As a student at Penn State, she was a summer tour guide and an intern in the undergraduate admissions office, focusing on diversity programming and leading the summer tour guide program. After graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and worked at Drexel University in several capacities for seven years before moving acJulia the city to Temple University, where she recruited and trained a group of alumni volunteers acJulia the country in supporting admissions events and initiatives. Julia’s study abroad experience in Prague inspired her biggest advice to college students to take advantage of every opportunity to go outside their comfort zone and experience new things. In her free time, she enjoys training and spending time exploring outside with her dog, Barkley, a Fox Red Labrador Retriever. Julia and her husband also volunteer for a dog rescue and assist with fostering dogs temporarily. She enjoys gardening/taking care of house plants, attempting to resuscitate said house plants (she never said she was good at it), exercising, traveling, watching terrible reality TV, listening to podcasts/audiobooks, and spending time with her family and friends.
