Kenneth N. Ryack

Associate Professor of Accounting

Dr. Ryack is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Quinnipiac University. He earned a PhD in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MS in accounting from Bentley University, and a BS in finance from the University of Connecticut.

Prior to joining Quinnipiac in the fall of 2012, Professor Ryack held faculty positions at Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University, Eastern Connecticut State University, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Bentley University. Before entering academia, Professor Ryack worked in both accounting and finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®).

Professor Ryack teaches financial accounting at Quinnipiac, including the intermediate accounting sequence and the introductory course. He has been recognized for his teaching and impact on students at Quinnipiac University and at several other universities. Professor Ryack engages in behavioral based research that focuses on judgment and decision making in financial settings, as well as pedagogical research. His research has been published in Journal of Financial Planning, Financial Services Review, Issues in Accounting Education, Personality and Individual Differences, The Journal of Behavioral Finance, and Advances in Accounting Education Teaching and Curriculum Innovations.
