Quinnipiac University
Kristen Bourgault, educator and instructional designer, is constantly exploring the intersection of learning, design, and technology. She is an Associate Teaching Professor at Quinnipiac University, where she personalizes learning experiences in the Masters in Instructional Design program, using a constructivist approach. By building relationships with her students and teaching with compassion, Kristen aims to prove that online education can be just as good, if not better, than traditional face-to-face instruction.

Before she became a professor, Kristen was an instructional designer with a talent for developing engaging and effective online courses and programs for higher education. Her work helped to jumpstart and reinvent online degree programs at Simmons College, Lesley University, Quinnipiac University, and American Sentinel University. She is looking ahead to the next generation of online teaching and learning, with an interest in social media, games for learning, and the maker movement.
