Linda A. Merritt

Associate Professor of Nursing

Dr. Linda Merritt is an associate professor of nursing in Quinnipiac University’s School of Nursing. She completed her doctoral education at Texas Woman’s University and her doctoral work focused on the needs of fathers in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and has been both published and presented at national conferences. In 2023, she was inducted into the inaugural class of Fellows for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses for her contributions to neonatal nursing.
Dr. Merritt is certified in neonatal intensive care nursing and nursing education. She is also active in several nursing organizations which include the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (and served as a Director at Large on the Board of Directors), Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (participating on several committees and task forces on national level), Sigma Theta Tau, and Eastern Nursing Research Society as well as serving as a reviewer for the neonatal journals, Advances in Neonatal Care and Neonatal Network. She also serves as a volunteer for Hand to Hold and a member of the NICU Parent Support Network.
