Teaching Professor of Mathematics

Professor Hollman is a Teaching Professor of Mathematics for the Department of Mathematics and Statisitc and Associate Department Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. You will usually see her in the classroom teaching a Calculus course, but she has been known to teach Contemporary Mathematics, College Algebra, as well as a Masters in Teaching Mathematics content course, Problem Solving. In her classroom, Professor Hollman hopes to share an enthusiasm of mathematics with her students, exciting those to ask more questions and work harder in the future.

If you have any questions regarding your Mathematics Placement level, Professor Hollman is the person to contact. She has run the math placement exam since 2012. She is also the Service Course Coordinator for Mathematics; developing and supervising the math courses for all of the majors throughout the University, such as Biostatistics, Statistics for the Behavioral Science, Probability and Data Analysis, Pre-Calculus, Contemporary Mathematics, College Algebra, and Basic Algebra.

Professor Hollman received a BS in both Mathematics and Computer Science from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She went onto the University of Connecticut where she received both a Ph.D. and a M.S. in Mathematics. After completing her research at the UCONN, Professor Hollman was a Visiting Professor of Mathematics at Trinity College. In 2010, she came to Quinnipiac University and has been here ever since.
