Dr Listy Thomas, MD, MBA is an associate professor of medical sciences at the Frank H. Netter School MD School of Medicine, where she is the Assistant Dean for Simulation and the Director of the Clinical Arts and Sciences Course, training future physicians in relationship-centered clinical skills with an emphasis on communication skills and clinical reasoning. She also serves as a career advisor in the office of student affairs and works closely with graduating medical students as they go through the residency application process. She has presented numerous faculty development workshops on topics including clinical skills, communication skills, clinical reasoning, and feedback and assessment strategies. Her interests in point of care ultrasound and trauma informed care translate to the clinical skills classroom and she has presented nationally and internationally on these topics. She is passionate about promoting racial and gender equity in healthcare and in the classroom. Dr. Thomas is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine and is a practicing emergency medicine physician at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Thomas is the recipient of the AMA Inspiration Award in 2020.
