Prof. Miller is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Legal Studies department in the College of Arts and Sciences. She has enjoyed a varied career including work as an Army nurse in the Persian Gulf War, a law clerk to two federal judges, an associate in the health care practice group of a large law firm in Boston, a partner in a small intellectual property law firm in Cologne Germany, and most recently as a Fellow in the Office of the General Counsel at Yale University. Her favorite job, however, has been as a teacher and mentor to the wonderful students at Quinnipiac University.

Prof. Miller teaches Health Care Law, International Law for the Individual, European Union Law and Policy, Intellectual Property Law, and the Senior Legal Internship Seminar. Her primary areas of scholarship focus on the Americans with Disabilities Act and other issues of public health law.

In July 2020, she became the Chair of the department and plans to continue to grow the Legal Studies programs, encompassing the Law in Society major, the Law in Society minor, and the Legal Studies Certificate Minor. The Certificate minor gives students the opportunity to earn a certificate of completion in an ABA approved paralegal course of study.
