Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Ron (Rongyu) Lin is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computing & Engineering at Quinnipiac University. He teaches computer science and data science courses with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their applications in scientific discovery and engineering.
Before joining Quinnipiac, Dr. Lin was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Clark University and previously served as a Principal Data Scientist at Capital One. His research has been published in leading venues such as Nature, Nature Communications, Journal of Physics, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, and ACL. He also contributes to the community as a reviewer and program committee member for AAAI, Transactions on Computational Science, Applied Intelligence, and Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Lin's research focuses on multi-fidelity and multi-agent learning for semiconductor design, computational materials discovery, and intelligent design automation. He is passionate about mentoring students and advancing cross-domain AI applications in fields such as healthcare, education, and finance.
