Clinical Professor of Occupational Therapy
Roseanna Tufano is currently a Clinical Professor of Occupational Therapy who started her teaching career in 1984. A graduate of Quinnipiac College in 1980, she has worked across the continuum of mental health services and earned her Marriage and Family Master's Degree in 1995 and OTD in 2020. She has developed and taught a range of courses over the past 35+ years primarily in applied occupational therapy theory, mental health evaluation and practice, therapeutic engagement, group dynamics, and the psychosocial aspects of physical disability. She has served as associate chairperson and academic coordinator for the department and assisted with program development. She is the co-author of "Applied Theories in Occupational Therapy", currently in its 2nd edition, along with various book chapters. Together with her husband, she currently conducts a private practice for individuals, couples, and families. Along with her passion for teaching, writing, and clinical practice, she enjoys time with her family. Her hobbies include music, traveling, cooking, and dancing.
