Field Education Coordinator, Master of Social Work Program

Part-Time Faculty

Samantha Novack, MSW, LCSW, serves as a Field Education Coordinator for the Online Master of Social Work (MSW) Program. In this capacity, she collaborates with field leadership to oversee online practicum placements, strengthen national agency partnerships, and ensure that students receive high-quality, competency-based learning experiences. She also teaches as adjunct faculty, integrating her clinical expertise into classroom and field-based education to support the development of confident, ethical, and reflective practitioners.

A licensed clinical social worker who continues to engage in clinical practice, Ms. Novack brings extensive experience in hospital-based care, higher education, and community mental health. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, specializing in Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sacred Heart University. Her professional experience includes psychiatric and pediatric specialty care at Yale-New Haven Hospital, hospice and bereavement services at VITAS Healthcare, and advocacy and program consultation with the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation.

Ms. Novack's career reflects a strong commitment to advancing social work education and bridging the gap between academic preparation and real-world clinical practice. Her ongoing engagement in direct practice enhances her ability to guide students and strengthen the connection between field education and professional excellence.
