Stefania Maria Agliano

Stefania M. Agliano, EdD, MSW, LMSW, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Field Education for the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at Quinnipiac University. She provides leadership across the program's field education efforts, including the development of trauma-informed and equity-centered field models, the coordination of agency and national partnerships, and the mentoring of field coordinators to support consistency and quality across placements. Her work emphasizes collaboration, student readiness for licensure, and alignment with CSWE accreditation standards.

With more than thirty years of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, and professional training, including twenty years with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, Dr. Agliano's expertise includes anti-trafficking, gender-based violence prevention, and violence reduction with justice-involved populations. She continues to provide child welfare consultation at the national level and is dedicated to fostering accountability, healing, and systemic reform through restorative and trauma-responsive approaches that improve outcomes for children and families.

In 2013, Dr. Agliano co-founded IAM Training and Consultation Group, where she co-developed the I AM curriculum, a licensed national prevention program for boys and young men. Her doctoral research at Northeastern University examined facilitator efficacy in implementing anti-trafficking and gender-based violence prevention education with adolescent males. She is also completing an MBA at Quinnipiac University, with graduation expected in December 2026.
