Tara Broccoli Ficocelli

Tara Broccoli Ficocelli joined the Psychology Department at Quinnipiac University in 2024. She earned her PhD from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ where her research interests included body image, self-objectification, health behavior, eating and exercise behavior, and women's health. She teaches several courses including Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Women and Gender, Social Psychology, and Positive Psychology. Currently, she focuses on creating inclusive classrooms while maximizing accessibility for all students through the integration of open educational resources (OER) and application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. She enjoys connecting with students both inside and outside of the classroom, primarily through advising psychology majors, co-advising Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and attending various campus events.
