Clubs and Organizations

With 61 academic groups and honor societies, you’ll have many opportunities to connect with people who share your talents and interests. Many of these national honor societies provide benefits beyond graduation, with a lifelong membership that delivers ongoing opportunities for professional growth and networking.

Diversity is about much more than ethnicity. It’s about different cultures, beliefs, genders, orientations and religions — all of which are embraced here at Quinnipiac through a number of groups and organizations. We have 13 student-run organizations dedicated to cultural diversity, tolerance and gender equality. Each of these clubs offers social and recreational events that will enable you to experience other customs in a fun, enjoyable and welcoming environment, while you leave your own unique mark on the university community.

Joining one of our fraternities or sororities offers an opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself, while still fostering your individuality. Our national and international chapters are built on the fundamental principles of leadership, growth, service and community, so you’ll learn to give back while forging deep bonds with friends who will continue to support you long after you’ve graduated. Whether facing off with your friends and roommates in a series of competitive tug-of-war challenges, developing and choreographing lip sync battles against other chapters, or coming together to lead philanthropic activities to benefit your local community, you will have fun and do good, while getting to know each other and yourself better.

No matter what your religion is, you are welcomed, accepted and supported here. Our student-run religious organizations and other faith-based outlets have created an environment of spiritual and religious awareness, and our Office of Religious Life offers counseling, worship and celebratory activities for students of different faiths.

Our service groups connect you with individuals around the region and throughout the country where you will leave a tangible mark — while developing valuable skills and having fun in the process.

Learn how you can influence the larger processes of government and social change. Whether you consider yourself conservative or liberal — or you’re still deciding — Quinnipiac offers many opportunities to voice your opinion and explore social issues.

Don’t just be part of the conversation; lead it. Host your own radio show, cover the big story on campus or capture the moments our alumni will cherish for a lifetime. Our student-run media organizations offer you the opportunity to express yourself while developing real-world skills that will make you an attractive candidate for a variety of industries.

Our government and programming boards provide you with over a dozen ways to develop your leadership, advocacy and management skills. These groups provide the university-wide leadership and governance needed for a successful and active student community.

There’s nothing quite like hearing cheers and enthusiasm thunder throughout one of our 2 arenas in Quinnipiac’s state-of-the-art sports center. Our school spirit is second to none, and you can electrify the crowds at our games and show your support for our athletic teams by joining one of our spirit groups. Being part of these groups might even take you to world-renowned venues like Barclays Center or Madison Square Garden.

Creativity is never in short supply here. Our 20 arts, entertainment and multimedia student groups offer a great opportunity to explore your artistic passions. Sing at Madison Square Garden, perform in Dublin or dance in a fundraising competition on campus that partners faculty and staff with students. Theater, a cappella or dance are just a few examples of the types of groups you can choose to join.

You’ll spend plenty of time studying and in class, but we understand how important it is to have plenty of other outlets for fun and to unwind. Our recreational groups will bring you together with others who share your passion for fitness, sports, hobbies or the great outdoors.
