All of our first-year residence halls are located on the Mount Carmel Campus along Bobcat Way. You’ll be close to everything you need — including the Carl Hansen Student Center, dining options, the Athletic and Recreation Center, academic buildings and the Arnold Bernhard Library.

The Commons is a first-year residence hall located over the wooden bridge at the beginning of Bobcat Way.

The Commons is a co-ed building by floor, and each hallway is home to approximately 50 residents. Bathrooms are located in the hallway, and each room has four loft beds, four desks, four free-standing closets and four separate phone and computer lines. The building also has one kitchen and one laundry area in each of the three lobbies.

Dana English Hall, known to our campus community as Dana, is a first-year residence hall located toward the beginning of Bobcat Way.

Dana English Hall, also known as Dana, is a co-ed residence hall with rooms, hallways and bathrooms assigned to a single sex. Bathrooms are located in the hallway and are used by approximately 30 residents. Each room houses two people and has two beds, two desks and two free-standing closets. The building also has a kitchen and several laundry areas.

The Complex

Founders Hall is one of three residence halls that make up The Complex. It is located on Bobcat Way and includes an outdoor courtyard used for large-scale programming and as a place for students to play ball, throw a Frisbee, study or soak up the sunshine.

Founders Hall is a co-ed residence hall comprised of 12 six-person, single-gender apartments. It is one of three buildings (also including Sahlin and Bakke) commonly called The Complex. Each apartment has 3 two-person bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. All of the bedrooms have built-in furniture. Nearby is a gazebo, basketball hoop, courtyard and laundry. Modeled after the Olympic Village in Calgary, Founders has a southwestern flair with bright colors and a stucco design.

Irmagarde Tator Hall, located toward the middle of Bobcat Way and known to our campus community as Irma, houses first-year students and our university security office.

Irmagarde Tator Hall, known around campus as Irma, is a co-ed residence hall that also houses our university public safety office. While the building is co-ed, the rooms, hallways and bathrooms are assigned to a single sex. Each room houses two people and has two beds, two desks and two free-standing closets. Hallway bathrooms are used by approximately 30 residents, and there is a kitchen and several laundry areas.

The Ledges is a first-year residence hall located toward the end of Bobcat Way.

The Ledges is a co-ed building with rooms, hallways and bathrooms assigned to a single sex. Bathrooms are located in the hallway and are used by approximately 50 residents. Each room has four loft beds, four desks and four free-standing closets. There are also kitchen and laundry areas.

Mountainview is a suite-style first-year residence hall located at the end of Bobcat Way.

Mountainview features co-ed floors with suites assigned to a single sex that ­­each house eight students. Each suite contains four bedrooms, a common living area, a bathroom and a storage area. In addition, the building has several common areas with kitchen areas on the second and third levels.

Troup, located in the heart of Bobcat Way, is a first-year residence hall that is part of The Suites.

Troup is a two-floor residence hall featuring a spacious mall area with a vaulted skylight and palm trees. There are 19 suites that each house eight residents. The separate living units each have four bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom. The buildings also have their own laundry areas.
