How to Update Your Diploma Name

Graduating students:

Transcripts

Order transcripts through Parchment

Important: Select “Hold for Degree” so your transcript is sent only after your degree is posted. If you skip this option, your transcript may be sent too early and will not show your degree, requiring a reorder.

Authentication of Documents and Apostille Requests for International Purposes

Document authentication and apostille services are increasingly required for international purposes, such as applying to universities abroad or securing employment outside the United States. These certifications verify that the Notary Public who notarized your transcript or diploma is registered with the Connecticut Secretary of the State.

To request a transcript or diploma for Authentication or Apostille, please submit your order through Parchment. Select Apostille Transcript as your order type and upload any required documents. Once your order is received, the Registrar’s Office will print, sign, and notarize the documents as needed, then mail them to the destination you specify. Payment for this service is completed through Parchment.

After you receive the notarized documents, you must send them to the Connecticut Secretary of the State along with the required Authentication Order Form and applicable fees. Additional information and forms are available on the Secretary of the State’s website.
