Dr. Ivy Rentz has been a licensed occupational therapist for 23 years. Additionally, she is the owner of Kidz Korner childcare centers in Westchester County, New York. She also owns ITI Therapy Services and has contracts with Westchester County Department of Health, New York City Department of Education, and the City School District of New Rochelle to provide therapeutic services to children 3 to 21 years of age.
Dr. Rentz has also been member of the New York State Black Occupational Therapy Caucus for over two decades. She has recently been appointed to the Roster of Accreditation Evaluators (RAE) on behalf of the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) starting in January 2021. Previously, Dr. Rentz was the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and taught various pediatric treatment courses at York College, CUNY and an adjunct at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY. Currently she is an Assistant Professor/ Doctoral Capstone Coordinator in the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program, at Quinnipiac University.
Dr. Rentz attends New York Covenant Church in New Rochelle, NY. She is currently the Director of Children’s Church and the administrator for Youth Ministries. Dr. Rentz currently serves on the Executive Board of Adelbrook Inc.’s residential and educational programs for children, as the Chairperson and is a youth mentor with the City of New Rochelle Court System. Dr. Rentz is married to Damon Rentz and has six children.
