Professor of Business Analytics and Information Systems
Dr. Rachida F. Parks, PhD, is an award-winning scholar and Full Professor of Business Analytics and Computer Information Systems at Quinnipiac University, with a joint faculty appointment in Medical Sciences at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in Information Sciences and Technology from The Pennsylvania State University.
Her interdisciplinary research focuses on digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), operationalization of AI in healthcare, information privacy and security, and AI literacy in education. She has multiple interdisciplinary publications in journals such as European Journal of Information Systems, International Journal of Medical Informatics, Computers & Education, Journal of Higher Education Theory and Practice, Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, and others. Her research is also featured in leading conferences including AMCIS, ICIS, and DSI. She had served as an Associate Editor for the Information Systems Journal, Health Systems Journal as well as on the board for the EDSIG Conference on Information Systems and Computing Education.
In the classroom, Dr. Parks teaches a wide range of courses including Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, Database Programming and Design, Data Visualization, Data Mining, AI and Analytics in Healthcare and Python Programming. Her teaching emphasizes experiential learning and preparing students to excel in a rapidly evolving digital and AI-driven landscape. She is also the creator of the Healthcare Digital Convergence (HDC) Chat Series—a global platform that elevates the voices of innovators at the convergence of AI and the future of healthcare.
Fluent in five languages and deeply committed to global collaboration, Dr. Parks continues to advance her mission: to shape a future where technology, impact, and humanity move forward together.
