Athletics Facilities

Spaces for you to stay active

Whether you want to work out, cheer on your Bobcats from the student section or get competitive on the field, we have a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities for your active lifestyle.

Pick up the speed on the elevated indoor track and get busy in the weight room in the Athletics and Recreation Center on the Mount Carmel Campus. Take a moment to reflect and relax in the yoga studios on the North Haven Campus, or head up to the Rocky Top Student Center on the York Hill Campus and take a class in the Spinning studio and fitness center.

Jump out of your seat and make some noise at the 185,000-square-foot People’s United Center on the York Hill Campus, which hosts both men’s and women’s basketball and hockey teams in 2 separate arenas joined by a common lobby area. And it’s easy to be a fan on the Mount Carmel Campus, which houses the Quinnipiac Soccer & Lacrosse Stadium, Field Hockey Stadium, Rugby Field, Outdoor Tennis Facility, Burt Kahn Court, and baseball and softball fields.

There's no shortage of opportunities to experience the thrill and the fun of taking the field with your classmates in a competitive environment. Go long for the winning catch in a game of Ultimate, skate with your team and slap the puck toward the top shelf in a hockey game, or spike the ball over the net and onto the hardwood in the finals of a volleyball tournament. There's plenty to get excited about when it comes to Quinnipiac intramurals.

Supporting competition

Club sports at Quinnipiac will begin competition in Fall 2019.

Introducing a whole new level of competition

We are excited to unveil club sports in the 2019-20 academic year. The initiative is largely driven by students and the Student Government Association.

Club sports will offer eligible, full-time students an opportunity for athletic competition with other colleges and universities at a less demanding level than Division I athletics. Most seasons are approximately two months long, with national tournaments at the end of the regular/conference tournament season.

In addition, club sports will offer students leadership opportunities. Students are elected into the positions and oversee many aspects of their team, including budgeting and scheduling.

Club sports for 2019-20

  • Women's dance
  • Women's figure skating
  • Men's ice hockey
  • Men's lacrosse
  • Women's lacrosse
  • Men's rugby
  • Women's softball
  •  Women's soccer
  • Coed tennis
  • Women's volleyball
