Program Overview

Forensic Studies at Quinnipiac is an interdisciplinary major that examines how science, human behavior and justice systems intersect to solve real-world problems. Forensic studies provides a unique blend of coursework drawing from anthropology, biology, chemistry, physics, criminal justice, psychology, sociology and biomedical sciences to explore the full context of forensics — from evidence collection and scientific analysis to legal processes, ethics and societal impact.

The broader foundation of this program is designed to balance academic rigor and flexibility, enabling students to pursue individual interests and career goals. It provides students with the scientific understanding of evidence, analytical techniques, technical skills, and insight into social systems surrounding crime and justice.

Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for entry into an advanced degree program in forensic science as well as a range of careers in investigative services, law enforcement, public health, laboratory science, behavioral forensics and community justice.
