The Quinnipiac Law Review will present the virtual symposium, “History of the Connecticut Constitution,” on Friday, March 4.

Opening remarks start at 10:30 a.m. followed by three sessions. Session I, titled, “History of the Connecticut Constitution,” will run from 10:45-11:45 a.m. and feature Judge Jon Blue and Judge Henry Cohn.

Session II, “Interpretation of the Connecticut Constitution,” is scheduled from 12:15-1:30 p.m. and will include Ohio Northern University law professor Scott Gerber, Quinnipiac law professor Linda Meyer and Judge Carl Schuman.

Session III, “Bringing a Connecticut Constitutional Claim,” will take place from 1:45-3:15 p.m. with panelists attorney Mario Cerame, attorney Wesley Horton, Quinnipiac law student Elizabeth Hrywniak and Justice Maria Araujo Kahn.

“We are so excited to be hosting our symposium,” said Hope Estrella, a third-year law student at Quinnipiac and executive managing editor of the Law Review. “We anticipate this event will be beneficial to attorneys who may practice before the Connecticut Appellate Courts, to law students looking to broaden their insight on our state legal history and to anyone interested in constitutional law in general.”

The Quinnipiac Law Review provides analysis and commentary on all areas of the law. The work published in its pages provides critical examinations of everything from recent groundbreaking civil and criminal cases to the shifting paradigms in corporate law structure and the moving parts behind environmental and food regulation.

Published four times annually, the Law Review includes articles written by faculty, judges and practicing attorneys from all over the country, as well as notes and case notes from Quinnipiac University law students.

The Quinnipiac Law Review is a wholly student-run organization. Membership on the Quinnipiac Law Review provides students with an opportunity to develop legal scholarship skills that give them an edge in the legal market. Membership requires a great deal of time and effort, but the rewards are invaluable.
