Dr. Brown is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. He earned his BS in Health and Human Services and Physician Assistant certificate from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He earned his Master of Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University, and Doctorate of Public Health with an emphasis on Epidemiology from Capella University.

Dr. Brown is certified as a PA by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, and is currently licensed to practice as a PA and Paramedic in the State of Connecticut. Dr. Brown’s experiences prior to joining the faculty include over 25 years clinical work as a Physician Assistant in emergency medicine, and 3 years of service in the United States Navy practicing primary care and military medicine. In addition, Dr. Brown has practiced in family practice and occupational medicine. He has held administrative positions, including clinical manager, medical director for emergency preparedness, as EMS and emergency management coordinator, and a member of the Board of Directors of a local health department.
