Vanessa Gonzalez-Figuereo
Assistant Dean for Advising and Student Services
Ms. Gonzalez-Figuereo is currently the assistant dean for advising and student services in the College of Arts and Sciences. Ms. Gonzalez-Figuereo is a bilingual student affairs professional with 20 years of experience leading diverse teams and cultivating high-quality services to create optimal learning environments for student success. She possesses extensive experience in advisement, first-year experience, new student orientation, leadership development, transition programs, student life, and residence life. Prior to joining Quinnipiac, Ms. Gonzalez-Figuereo served in various roles at LaGuardia Community College, Farmingdale State College, Long Island University-Brooklyn, Lehman College, and the Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Gonzalez-Figuereo earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in student personnel administration from Buffalo State College, SUNY, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education in higher education administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
