MS in Business Analytics Curriculum

Our curriculum builds industry-specific knowledge and skills while giving you the flexibility to customize your schedule based on your needs. Below are the course requirements for the Business Analytics program, and an example of what your academic experience might look like.

The master of science in business analytics curriculum is designed to give students the skills needed to thrive in the increasingly data-driven business culture.

Focus on your unique interests with an optional concentration

Students may choose to take elective courses within one area, creating a concentration in a specific discipline.

We offer the following concentrations:

  • On-campus program

    • Finance

    • Healthcare

    • Marketing

    • Supply chain

  • Online program

    • Healthcare

    • Marketing

All concentrations require 3 electives in the concentration area. For all programs, students should discuss their interest in a concentration as soon as possible. Some concentrations require courses be taken in sequence. Concentrations are contingent upon course offerings and faculty availability, and are subject to change.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the MS in Business Analytics program, students will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Data Analysis: Evaluate different techniques used to analyze data.
  • Data Management: Explain how data is stored, accessed and retrieved.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Apply business analytics techniques and utilize analytical tools for organizational decision making.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrate skills in interpreting and presenting analytical results.
