Friday, October 6

  • 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. | Registration | Carl Hansen Student Center Piazza
    Guests will register here throughout the weekend and pick up maps and giveaways.

  • Noon - 1 p.m. | Fireside chat with Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz
    The university community is invited to a fireside chat with Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz, moderated by President Judy Olian.

  • 3 - 5 p.m. | Women's Field Hockey vs. UCONN | Field Hockey Stadium | Free
    Come watch QU Field Hockey compete against Big East rival UCONN.

  • 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. | Envisioning Possibilities: Optimizing Your Eyesight | North Haven Campus - MNH 105 | Free
    Led by Marcy Sanders, Professor of Occupational Therapy and Laura Mutrie, Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work and Director of Field Education, this session will highlight the ways our vision changes as we age and how to optimize and support your eyesight through all stages. We’ll discuss strategies including how to work with the daily environmental factors around you.

    If you are arriving on Friday, join us to kick off Bobcat Weekend on QU's iconic Quad! Join family and friends for lawn games, music, snacks and giveaways! Support our local community by bringing non-perishable food items.

  • 5 - 7 pm. | Friday Shabbat with Rabbi Reena Judd | Peter C. Hereld House for Jewish Life | Free
    Traditional Friday evening Shabbat. Dinner is provided.

  • 7 - 9 p.m. | Feel-Good Friday at RecWell | Recreation and Wellness Center Lobby, Recreation and Wellness Center Adjacent Lawn | $5
    Stop by the RecWell Center to unwind and enjoy stress-busting activities led by staff. There will be gong meditation, outdoor fun, planting, therapy dogs, and access to classes in our state-of-the-art studio.

  • 8 - 10 p.m. | Night of Laughs featuring Lace Larrabee | Burt Kahn Court | $5
    Enjoy a family-friendly comedy show featuring Lace Larrabee. Lace Larrabee is an actor, nationally touring stand-up comedian and former southern beauty queen who can be seen at clubs from coast to coast. Lace was a season 17 semifinalist on America's Got Talent and was brought back at the finale show to roast judge Simon Cowell! There will be snacks, desserts and refreshments.

  • 9 - 11 a.m. | Exploratorium: Unleashing Academic Frontiers | Recreation and Wellness Center | $5
    This event is a showcase featuring Quinnipiac students and faculty presenting academic excellence. You’ll meet students and faculty from across the university who will explain their research, demonstrate collaborative projects like student-designed video games, and learn more about cutting-edge teaching.

  • 9 - 10 a.m. | Women's Soccer Alumnae Game | Soccer and Lacrosse Field | Free
    Quinnipiac Women's Soccer Alumnae, join us for our annual QUWSOC Alumnae Game, followed by the Athletic Alumni Brunch. (Alumni Game is for women's soccer alumnae. Guests and spectators are welcome to watch)

  • 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. | Mindfulness in the Morning (two 25-minute sessions) | Recreation and Wellness Center Amphitheater | $5
    A relaxing start to the day at our outdoor amphitheater. Bring your own blanket and welcome the day with positivity.

    Get the family ready for some tasty bites and fun! Visit the Quad for music, lawn games, pay-your-way food trucks and a biergarten! Kids will enjoy inflatables and novelties plus a visit from Boomer himself!

    The M&T Bank Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship empowers and assists students, staff and faculty in all of Quinnipiac’s academic disciplines to pursue their entrepreneurial ventures. Please stop by to meet us and support student businesses during the Food Truck Festival! (No registration required.)

    Join our admissions team to take a walk through Mount Carmel Campus and reminisce about your time on campus while checking out all the latest renovations.

  • 1:30 - 4 p.m. | Ecological Tour of Pollinator Gardens and Sleeping Giant | Meet at Albert Schweitzer Institute | $5
    Enjoy a leisurely afternoon at Sleeping Giant led by Sarah Lawson, Assistant Professor of Biology. You'll start off at our university pollinator gardens and make stops to examine the ecology of our neighboring park. Space is limited for this special tour.

  • 2 - 4 p.m. | Sleeping Giant Hike | Meet by Carl Hansen Student Center Bookstore | $5
    Take in the fresh air during a brisk hike up the beautiful Sleeping Giant. Appropriate athletic or hiking footwear is strongly recommended. Space is limited for this trek.

  • 2 - 4 p.m. | Multicultural Reception & Jam Session | On the Rocks Pub - York Hill Campus | $5
    Multicultural families and alumni are invited to enjoy music and refreshments. Cash bar available.

    Friends of Women’s Basketball, stop by M&T Bank Arena to watch the Women’s Basketball Team’s Open Practice!

  • 4 - 6:30 p.m. | Boomer's Block Party | Mount Carmel Campus Quad | $10 for entry/$10 for drink wristband
    Join us outside M&T Bank Arena to celebrate Bobcat Nation as we lead up to the first home game of the season for the men's ice hockey team. There will be a DJ, games, prizes, and meet up spots catch up with your classmates whether you're a current student or alumni. A wristband for all-inclusive wine and beer can be purchased in advance by selecting it below.

    Gather with your friends and family to watch the Men's Ice Hockey team take on Boston College at our Game Watch Party. Bring your chairs and blankets out under the stars to cheer on the team while watching on our jumbo digital screen. There will be free giveaways as well as food and beverage for purchase.

  • 7 pm | Family Trivia Showdown | Burt Kahn Court | Free
    Brush up on your trivia knowledge and come to Burt Kahn to play and win cool prizes! Singles or teams are welcome to play at this event. Snacks will be provided.
