Erica Grace Rizzo

Clinical Assistant Professor Nursing

Dr. Erica Rizzo is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. She is a Certified Nurse Educator granted by the National League for Nursing and brings teaching experience from nursing undergraduate and graduate levels.

She has been a licensed registered nurse since 2004, primarily focusing on medical-surgical nursing. She currently holds a clinical position as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Bristol Hospital.

Dr. Rizzo enjoys mentoring graduate and doctoral nursing students completing their degrees. Other interests include mindfulness and stress reduction techniques in the workplace and academic settings.

Dr. Rizzo obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chamberlain University. Her scholarly project focused on readmission reductions in the long-term care setting. Her project was titled "INTERACT-ing to Prevent 30-day Hospital Readmissions".
