One of the most critical steps in launching a successful research project is securing funding that aligns with your research goals. Thanks to curated partnerships as well as established scholarships, fellowships and grant opportunities, students and faculty have a myriad of pathways to support their research efforts.

Immerse yourself in funded summer research

Interdisciplinary Program for Research and Scholarship

Open to students of all majors, QUIP-RS provides up to $5,000 in funding for undergraduate students to conduct research or complete creative projects alongside faculty mentors. This intensive 8-week program enables students to develop scholarly skills while encouraging discussion about successes and shortcomings with fellows and mentors.

Pursue fellowships and scholarships

Presidential Public Service Fellows

Presidential Public Service Fellows are paid, full-time Quinnipiac student employees working as full-time public servants in local government offices. Students are placed in offices and policy areas according to their interests, prior courses/skills and the needs of the Town. Students assist with public policy research, assist with public relations, and manage community programs that serve people in the community.

Global Engagement Fellowship

The Albert Schweitzer Institute hosts Quinnipiac’s Global Engagement Fellowship, a group of faculty and students who work together for community-engaged action to address challenges in food security, immigration, prisoner reintegration and other topics where global awareness can confront local reality and challenge us to act.

User Experience and Behavioral Insights Lab Fellowship

Undergraduate students in the marketing programs who have an interest in marketing/behavioral research and demonstrate the qualities sought for the fellows program are invited to apply for intensive independent research studies for class credit. These students have the opportunity to learn new software tools and work closely with the Faculty Program Director on research and lab administration. Students receive three credits for the class and are encouraged to spend two semesters (six credits) in the program to immerse in a research project.

Albert Schweitzer Institute Internship

The Albert Schweitzer Institute supports paid internships in environmental sustainability, food security, human rights, global engagement and communications. It also supports one summer intern to participate in a community gardening internship in New Haven through the New Haven Land Trust.

Help administer projects

  • Assist project leads with the administration of their grants and sponsored research, including financial management, procurement activities and human resources processes

  • Monitor and aid in the submission of technical reports

Use allocated funds

  • Provide guidance and assistance with spending awarded funds in alignment with appropriate regulations and institutional policies

  • Work with the project lead and grants accountant to aid in the submission of financial reports
