More information and links can be found on Q-Start, the online portal for incoming students.

Log into Q-Start

The first step in the housing process is to complete the housing contract. First-year students receive information about the housing contract and assignment process on Q-Start in the spring.

Log into Q-Start

  • Log in to qu.edu/myhousing

  • Next to the word Quinnipiac are three horizontal lines

  • Click the lines and choose Housing Requests and Contracts

  • Select the New Student Housing Contract

In the New Student Housing Contract, complete the following:

  1. Students must read and agree to the contract terms (Contracts are for a full year)

  2. Complete the Lifestyle Questions and click “Continue”

  3. Provide emergency contact information. Important: You must click “Continue” to submit the contract. A copy of your signed contract will be emailed to you. If you are under 18, parent/guardian verification is required. Your application is not complete until we receive parent/guardian verification.

  4. After your completed Housing Contract is received (including parent verification for students under the age of 18), you will receive an email to your QU address with a link to the Grove/LLC application.

Housing contracts for incoming students are due May 15, 2026.

To receive a housing assignment, all new students must have:

  • signed their housing contract,

  • completed the lifestyle questionnaire,

  • selected roommate(s) (if desired),

  • be compliant with the requirements from Student Health Services (health forms are due June 30), and

  • cleared the balance on their student account (must be settled by July 15)

Housing assignments and roommate information will be posted on MyHousing by August 1, 2026.

We expect to welcome more than 1,700 new first-year students this fall. You will live in one of the halls designated for first-year students: The Commons (quad-style rooms), The Ledges (quad-style rooms), Irmagarde Tator Hall (double rooms), Dana English Hall (double rooms), Mountainview (suite-style, four double rooms with a shared common area and bathroom) or The Grove (double rooms). Approximately half of the incoming class are housed in The Commons and The Ledges.

Incoming students may not choose a specific building or room type.

New students with completed New Student Housing Contracts are eligible to select one or three roommates for the fall. An exciting opportunity for incoming students is to form a group of four for an assignment in The Commons or The Ledges. It is important to note that selecting one roommate does not guarantee assignment in a double room. Roommate pairs are frequently assigned to quads with another matched roommate pair.

We encourage you to discuss your answers to the lifestyle questions with potential new roommates to help determine if you are compatible before requesting them as a roommate.

New first-year students will select roommate(s) on MyHousing. Roommate requests will be accepted between June 1 and June 28, 2026. All roommate requests must be mutual, which means your requested roommate(s) must confirm the request to be assigned together. Roommate groups are limited to two people or four people. There are no groups of three or five students.

Most students do not choose a roommate, and you are not required to do so. The Office of Housing uses the information provided on the lifestyle survey to match roommates and often makes roommate matches that last well beyond your first year.

Once we receive your completed Housing Contract (including parent verification for students under the age of 18), you will receive an email to your QU address with a link to the Grove/ LLC application.

Move-in is an exciting experience at QU! Our Move-In Crew will unload your car and bring your belongings up to your room. Please be sure everything is labeled with your name and room number before you pack your car. Once your belongings have been removed from the car, the driver will then move the car to a designated parking area while you go into the building to begin unpacking and get settled in your new room.
