Move-In Schedule and Important Dates

Keep track of all the important dates for residence hall openings and closings during breaks, as well as schedules for move-in and move-out for the academic year.

Fall 2026 Move-In Schedule

Incoming first-year students must sign up for a day and an available time slot online. Details are shared by email.

Transfer students and returning sophomore, junior and senior students are permitted to arrive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on their assigned date(s).

Students who are unable to move in by Sunday, August 23 by 7 p.m. must notify the Housing Office (housing@quinnipiac.edu) of their arrival date and time.

Important Dates 2026-2027

Fall 2026

Move In

  • Tuesday, June 30: Health forms due
  • Monday-Sunday, August 17-23: Move-in week (by assigned dates and times)
  • Friday, August 28: Last day for meal plan changes

Thanksgiving Break

  • Friday, November 20: Thanksgiving break begins, halls close at 6 p.m. All residents must vacate the halls.
  • Sunday, November 29: Thanksgiving break ends, halls re-open at 10 a.m.

Winter Break

  • Saturday, December 12: Halls close at 10 a.m. All residents must vacate the halls.

Spring 2027

January Move In

  • Saturday-Sunday, January 23-24: Students move in from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily
  • Friday, January 29: Last day for meal plan changes

Spring Break

  • Friday, March 12: Spring break begins, halls close at 6 p.m. All residents must vacate the halls.
  • Sunday, March 21: Spring break ends, halls reopen at 10 a.m.

May Closing

  • Saturday, May 15: Halls close at 10 a.m. All residents must vacate the halls.
  • Monday, May 17: Halls close at 10 a.m. for all Commencement participants

Resident undergraduate student housing contract

Sign your housing contract and pay your housing reservation fee so that you can live close to friends, close to classes, and have 24-hour support from university staff. Please review the housing contract carefully before signing as it is a legally binding agreement.

Room and board rates

Quinnipiac housing offers a variety of housing options, including traditional-style residence halls, as well as suites, apartments and houses. The rates include WiFi, live-in professional staff, 24-hour on-call maintenance and emergency staff, and laundry facilities, and more. Dining plans include access to dining options across our three campuses, with multiple levels available.

Room and board rates

The university reserves the right to revise housing arrangements for any reason, including, but not limited to, state or changing health conditions.
